Warranty and legal guarantee

Updated: October 2026

Every product you buy from Linné Elektronik is covered by consumer protection law, wherever the product was manufactured.

1. Legal guarantee — at least two years

Under EU consumer law the seller is liable for defects that exist when the goods are delivered and become apparent within at least two years of delivery. Several EU countries give longer protection — where the law of your country gives you more, that applies.

Presumption of defect: a defect that becomes apparent within one year of delivery (two years in some countries) is presumed to have existed when you bought the product, unless we show otherwise — you only need to describe the fault. Report the fault within a reasonable time; a report made within two months of discovering it is always in time.

Your rights if there is a fault:

  1. Repair or replacement (your primary choice)
  2. Price reduction (if repair/replacement is not possible)
  3. Termination of the purchase (if the fault is not minor)

We always pay the return shipping for an approved complaint.

2. Manufacturer's warranty

In addition to the legal guarantee, some manufacturers provide their own voluntary warranty. We only state warranty periods that appear in the manufacturer's own warranty text — never figures from secondary sources.

Manufacturer Warranty period What the warranty covers
Apple 1 year Valid throughout the EEA and Switzerland without shipping or handling fees, regardless of where in the EEA the product was bought. AppleCare+ cannot be purchased for globally imported products.
Samsung 24 months Phones, watches and accessories. The battery is a wear part and is covered for 12 months.
OnePlus 2 years Phones and audio products. Cases and screen protectors are covered for 15 days.
Oppo 2 years Smartphones, tablets, audio products, connected devices and accessories.
Meater 2 years Valid within the EU.

The warranty requires an official channel. Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo and Meater give their warranty for products that the manufacturer itself has placed on the EEA market. We import products globally and cannot promise that the manufacturer will honour its warranty for a product that did not come through that channel — which is why the warranty line is only shown on product pages where we know it applies. If a product page has no warranty line, our legal guarantee applies. Apple is the exception: its limited warranty applies throughout the EEA regardless of where in the EEA the product was bought.

Why some brands are missing from the table. For Google, Motorola, Sony, Honor and Xiaomi, among others, we do not state a warranty period. Google's warranty requires the purchase to be made from Google or one of its authorised retailers — which we are not — and Motorola does not publish a period at all. Promising a warranty without a source would be an empty promise. Our legal guarantee applies unchanged to everything we sell.

The manufacturer's warranty applies alongside the legal guarantee, but because we import products globally we cannot guarantee that the manufacturer will carry out the service in your country — the periods above are the manufacturers' general terms and may vary with the market version of the product. Our liability towards you never depends on this: we are the responsible seller and are liable for defects under consumer law. You can always choose the right that gives you the best protection.

3. Global import and CE marking

Some of our products are imported from distributors in the EU/EEA and, for example, from the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. All our products:

  • Are CE marked and meet the EU safety requirements
  • Are fully covered by consumer protection law
  • Are our responsibility — we are the responsible seller and importer

Important about Apple products: Apple products carry a worldwide warranty (Apple Limited Warranty), but AppleCare+ cannot be purchased for globally imported products. We handle all warranty matters directly — you never have to deal with the manufacturer yourself.

4. Service

We handle all service and fault cases through our customer service. For an approved complaint we arrange a repair, a new product or a refund — you never have to deal with a repair shop or the manufacturer yourself.

5. How to report a fault

  1. Open a case on the customer service page: choose "Fault / complaint" — the guided form looks up your order and helps you fill in everything needed (a description of the fault, photos or video). Alternatively, email info@linneelektronik.com with your order number and a description of the fault.
  2. Wait for our assessment: we reply within 1–2 working days.
  3. Send the product: for an approved complaint we tell you how to send the product to us free of charge.
  4. Repair or replacement: we repair or replace the product. If that is not possible, we offer a price reduction or a full refund.

Examination fee: if, after examination, we find that the product has no original fault (for example damage caused by the user), reasonable examination costs may be charged. We always tell you about this possibility before you send the product.
