Description

Perfectly cooked – without guessing

Meater Plus is a completely wireless meat thermometer. You insert it into the thickest part of the meat, select what you're cooking in the Meater app and let it take care of the rest. The app calculates how much time is left, tells you when it's time to remove the meat and how long it should rest – so it's cooked exactly as you want it, every time. No cables getting pinched in the grill or oven door.

Five sensors in the meat, one in the heat

The probe has five internal sensors and one sensor for ambient temperature. With Smart Temp™, Meater Plus finds the true lowest temperature in the meat, so you won't be fooled by a sensor that happens to be closer to the surface. Accuracy is ±0.3 °C, and every thermometer is calibrated at three points and comes with a calibration certificate. The ambient sensor withstands up to 550 °C, so the probe can stay in the meat even over an open flame when you're charring or searing. Inside the meat it measures up to 105 °C.

The app guides you all the way

The Meater app is available for iPhone and iPad (iOS 14 or later) and Android (8.0 or later). Guided cooking takes you step by step from start to serving, and the app estimates both cooking and resting time so you can plan the rest of dinner. If you prefer to be in control, you can set your own alarms for internal temperature, ambient temperature or time.

Long range – the charger boosts the signal

Meater Plus uses Bluetooth 5.2 with Coded PHY for long range, up to approximately 75 metres in free space. The charging block acts as a booster between the probe and your phone, so you can go inside while the grill works. With Meater Link and Meater Cloud you can follow the cooking wherever you are, as long as an extra phone or tablet with internet connection stays near the grill.

Fast charging and easy to clean

Five minutes' charging is enough for two hours of cooking, and half an hour in the charger gives over 24 hours. The probe is waterproof, so it handles deep frying and sous vide and can be washed in the dishwasher. It's built in stainless steel with a zirconium ceramic band and is just 5 mm thick, so it leaves a small hole in the meat.

The charging block is made of bamboo, stores the probe and has magnets on the back so it sticks to the grill, fridge or cooker hood. A rubber foot prevents it from sliding. The charger runs on an AAA battery that's included and lasts approximately two years if you cook a steak once a week.

Good to know

The app is required. Meater Plus has no built-in display – the temperature is read in the Meater app on your phone.
Unlimited range requires an extra device. Meater Link and Meater Cloud need a phone or tablet with internet connection near the grill.
The charger runs on battery. An AAA battery is included; replace it when it runs out.
