Honor Magic V6 – a foldable that barely feels like it weighs anything

The Magic V6 unfolds to a 7.95 inch OLED display and folds down to a phone that's under one centimetre thick. The 6.52 inch outer display is full-sized, so you won't need to unfold it to answer calls, pay or read a message. Both screens run down to 1 Hz and up to 120 Hz, keeping motion smooth without draining the battery unnecessarily.

Power and battery

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 16 GB RAM powers the phone, and the 6660 mAh battery uses silicon-carbon technology – the approach that lets more capacity fit into a thinner chassis. Charging reaches 80 W with a cable and 66 W wirelessly.

Three cameras, all 50 MP or higher

The main camera is 50 MP with f/1.6 and optical image stabilisation. The ultra-wide is also 50 MP, and the telephoto is a periscope lens at 64 MP with 3x optical zoom and its own stabilisation. That's unusual for a foldable, where the telephoto is normally what gets sacrificed.

Built to handle everyday life

The hinge is Honor's Super Steel Hinge, and the phone is rated IP68 and IP69 – sealed against dust and water-resistant during normal use. The fingerprint reader is on the side, and Honor promise at least five years of security updates.
