Description

Honor Magic V6 – a foldable that barely feels like it

The Magic V6 unfolds to a 7.95 inch OLED display and folds up into a phone under one centimetre thick. The 6.52 inch outer screen is full-sized, so you won't need to unfold it to answer, pay or read a message. Both screens drop to 1 Hz and rise to 120 Hz, keeping motion smooth without draining the battery unnecessarily.

Power and battery

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 16 GB RAM powers the phone, and the 6660 mAh battery uses silicon-carbon technology – the technique that fits more capacity into a thinner chassis. Charging goes at 80 W via cable and 66 W wirelessly.

Three cameras, all 50 MP or more

The main camera is 50 MP with f/1.6 and optical image stabilisation. The ultra-wide is also 50 MP, and the telephoto is a periscope design at 64 MP with 3x optical zoom and its own stabilisation. That's uncommon for a foldable, where the telephoto is usually what gets sacrificed.

Built to handle everyday life

The hinge is Honor's Super Steel Hinge, and the phone is rated IP68 and IP69 – sealed against dust and handles water in normal use. The fingerprint reader is on the side, and Honor promises at least five years of security updates.
