Description

A tablet that fits in your pocket

Galaxy Z Fold8 is Samsung's large foldable: 7.6-inch display in 4:3 format when unfolded, folded down to 81.9 millimetres wide. Unfolded it's 4.5 millimetres thin, and the entire phone weighs 201 grams — lighter than many standard flagships.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Graphite unfolded

Two displays, both world-class

The inside is a Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X at 7.6 inches with 120 Hz and 3,000 nits peak brightness. The wider 4:3 format makes it more practical for documents, maps and split-screen use than previous generations.

The outer 5.5-inch display is a full phone in itself, with the same 120 Hz and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. You don't need to unfold it to reply to a message.

Performance and seven years of updates

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, Samsung DeX for desktop mode on an external display, and Ultra Wideband for precise positioning. The phone ships with Android 17 and One UI 9, and Samsung promises seven major Android updates — support through 2033.

The battery is 4,800 mAh with 45 W wired charging and 20 W wireless. IP48 means it can withstand submersion in water and protects against particles larger than 1 mm — but it is not dustproof.

Camera — and something to know

The main camera is 50 megapixels with optical image stabilisation, with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide at 120 degrees alongside. Selfie cameras are on both the inside and outer display, and the phone films in 8K.

Fold8 has no telephoto camera. All zoom is digital. If you need optical zoom regularly, it's worth knowing before purchase — if you want zoom in a foldable format, there are other options. Feel free to get in touch and we can help you compare.
